Storm response update | Monday 11 December 11 AM

As of this morning there are just over 100 customers without power after Friday night’s storm.

This morning we are working to restore outages in Downer, Kambah and Weetangera. There will also be around 40 single premises requiring individual repairs which we will be working to restore late into the evening.

Our crews are working to get everyone restored by the end of today and crews from NSW are again assisting us with our response.

The ACT Emergency Services Agency community support hub is again open from 10am-3pm today at Melba Copland Secondary School - Senior Campus. There you can speak with volunteers, access device charging, collect ice, or dispose of food waste if affected by ongoing power outages.

If you have a damaged point of attachment or other internal electrical faults you will need to engage a private electrician to fix these before our crews can reconnect you to the grid. Our crews will let you know if this is the case if they can, however we recommend checking your point of attachment (where the electricity network connects to your home). Once your electrician has completed the works required, please call us on 13 10 93 so we can arrange to reconnect you to the grid.

We thank everyone for your patience as we work to try and get everyone restored by this evening.

If you see fallen powerlines or damaged electrical equipment – stay at least 10 metres away from them or anything they’re touching – including fences. If you’re unsure if they’ve been reported, call us on 13 10 93.
