Before you get started, please note we will levy a charge to the signatory or connection applicant for non-compliance with the Evoenergy Service and Installation Rules, and model standing offer for basic connection services. This also applies for installation defects due to obstructed access or the site not being ready for the requested connection service work.

All charges are as per our Schedule of Electricity Network Charges and the model standing offer for basic connection services. If we reasonably need to make a site inspection in order to determine the nature of a connection service, we may charge our reasonable expenses to the connection applicant.

If your application meets the criteria for a basic connection service as outlined in Evoenergy's model standing offer for basic connection services (available here), your connection contract will commence immediately upon receipt of your application by Evoenergy.

Only submit this form for the units that are ready (i.e. you know that the door number of each unit matches the switchboard) for creation of a National Meter Identifier (NMI) to enable the installation of metering. Subsequent units that are completed after the written start date will require another application form.

Asbestos requirements

The How to Manage and Control Asbestos in the Workplace Code of Practice (ACT) mandates that any individual who oversees refurbishment work at a site must hire a licensed asbestos assessor. The assessor must ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, that any asbestos is removed by a licensed removalist before the work commences.



You will need to remove the asbestos and provide Evoenergy with documentation from a licensed asbestos assessor stating that the asbestos has been removed from the site along with this form. Work will not be undertaken by Evoenergy until all asbestos has been removed.

Site energisation

Evoenergy will energise to the network boundary. Further energisation requires Access Canberra inspection and an approval label on-site. You (or your customer) must also contact the retailer to set up contractual arrangements and arrange metering. Available retailers are at aer.gov.au. After connection, you’ll be on a deemed standard connection contract (available here).

You will be contacted via email and provided with a letter containing details of your appointment after payment or other pre-conditions are met. For more information please call 13 23 86.

You have requested an expedited connection in this form. If Evoenergy is satisfied that your connection application is for a basic connection service that falls within the terms of Evoenergy’s model standing offer for basic connection services, then the connection contract will commence immediately on the date Evoenergy receives this application. If I have chosen to expedite my connection application I certify that the proposed connection service is a basic connection service in accordance with the Evoenergy Service and Installation Rules and Evoenergy’s model standing offer for basic connection services.

Applicant declaration

Subject to and in accordance with the National Electricity Rules, I understand and agree that by signing below and submitting this application to Evoenergy:

  • I am applying for connection or alteration to Evoenergy's electricity network under the Model Standing Offer for Basic Connection Services.
  • I agree to pay a fee as per Evoenergy's Schedule of Electricity Network Charges to cover expenses incurred by Evoenergy in completing this Basic Connection. The fee shall be invoiced and I understand that work may not commence on my request until payment is made.
  • Any confidential information of Evoenergy disclosed during the course of negotiations must be kept confidential.This form does not constitute an offer and does not commit Evoenergy to providing any goods or services.
  • I warrant that I am authorised to execute this application on behalf of the connection applicant.
  • Being duly authorised, I approve access at the property for which the work has been requested, for Evoenergy and any required contractors appointed by Evoenergy to complete the requested works.I further approve any outages at this property required to facilitate the requested works.
