Evoenergy welcomes four Lineworker Apprentices and three Electrical Fitter Apprentices into the 2022 Apprenticeship Program.

Apprentices play a valuable role in our workforce and represent the future of our network.

Seamus, Felix, Lil, Ryan, Alana, Zoran and Aiden are gaining hands-on experience in their assigned crews across our Asset Inspection, Chamber Substation, Zone Substation and Greenfields crews.

Combined with external training, the apprentices have also been spending time in the Evoenergy Training Yard learning safe practices when it comes to climbing energy infrastructure.

Evoenergy Vocational Educator, Mark Redding, said the team are working together really well and he is proud of their progress so far as they learn how we maintain safe and reliable electricity across the Canberra region.

“The first few weeks of the apprenticeship I found helpful in getting me on my feet at the company. I'm finding everyone to be extremely nice, inclusive and easy to work with,” said Lineworker Apprentice Ryan.

Electrical Fitter Apprentice Alana has described her experience so far as once-in-a-lifetime.

“In such a short time I have already experienced an overcoming of fears, great relationships with colleagues and immense ongoing support with learning new knowledge and skills within the organisation,” she said.

We are looking forward to the apprentices’ journey with Evoenergy and are proud to be part of their future in the energy industry.
